I didnt know what to expect from this class but I'm glad I learned so much. I feel so much more independent now when it comes to using different technology programs. I would love to continue learning this type of information because there is so much to know but hopefully what I learned will be a great start for furture and better things. Well the semester is done and I am EXCITED. This is my last blog!!!!!!!!!!

Blackboard
I actually enjoy Blackboard for a number of reasons.
1) It save lots of papers. Teachers can post things online rather than making tons of copies of it.
2)You can have discussions with your classmates.
3)It is easy to upload files onto Blackboard
4)The format of Blackboard is easy and self explanatory.
5) A great way for teachers to post comments and announcements to students
6) Allows you to see the email addresses of all the people enrolled in your class so if you need some peer mentoring you can contact anyone of your choice.
What section of Blackboard that none of my professors used was the Collaboration Session where there can be a virtual classroom & online chats. I think that would have been a cool way to have classes especially during holiday weeks so students wouldnt feel the pressure of coming to classes. If I get to use Blackboard as a teacher some day, this is one function of Blackboard I want to utilize

Classmates' Webpages
I had to visit the websites of my fellow Leos Jess R., Marisa & Ava. Us Leos must stick together. We are the Queens and Center of the Universe
Jess- I found out a lot of interesting things about Jess from her bio. She's a freaking star!!! Her movie dedication to her dog Tulah is just too cute. You have to check it out. I sneaked a peek at her group project and Jess posted a lot of cool dance improvisation games that not only dance educators could use but any teacher who is looking for icebreakers and community building.

Marisa- I'm obessed with the sneakers on Marisa's webpage. They are the coolest things ever. And I found out she's only 4'11...she tried to add in 3/4 but who's she trying to fool lol. Someone told me that anyone under 5 feet can be classified as handicapped...dont know if its true but you may be able to get front row parking. Just something you should look into....

Ava- Ava is the Leo cub of the family...anyone who knows her personality knows why I say that lol. Shes so precious...doesnt have that killah mentality like the rest of us...YET lol. (Im too funny) Anywho, Ava has this really cool image on her Images Assignment. The dancers and location is so mysterious. I love it. I also like the peach background color for her Literacy page (random I know). You should check out her Bennington movie also because it has some creative transitions.

Browsers
I think my favorite two browsers are Safari & Firefox. Both browsers stick the closest to my html codes. Safari and Firefox also upload music, images, and animation on my webpae rather quickly. My least favortie browsers are Internet Explorer and AOL. They often change my font to their default, which upsets me because I want to show my individuality. AOL and Internet Explorer upload slower than Safari and Firefox...then again it might be my old computer lol. I still prefer Firefox & Safari. Does anyone argee????

Reflections on my group project

Literacy Education & Dance

Dance Literacy is important for a variety of reasons:
- Provides students with motivation to read and learn
- Dance can collaborate with academic subjects to reinforce educational concepts by presenting them in a new format
- "Families who want their children to learn to think, and excel in school and life, can look toward the arts for plenty of opportunities to do just that." - Crayola
